At Kunes Lakes Chevrolet, our showroom is a place where neighbors meet, and this September we are turning it into something even more meaningful. On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, we are teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive, and we would love to see you walk through our doors to take part.
This drive is part of a heartwarming collaboration between the American Red Cross and Hello Kitty and Friends, built around a message we can all get behind: giving blood is super kind. It is a simple idea with a powerful impact, and it is a wonderful reason to come together as a community.

A Supercute Reason to Roll Up Your Sleeve
Donors this month have a little something extra to look forward to. The American Red Cross and Hello Kitty have released exclusive new merchandise, and anyone who gives blood between September 1 and September 20 can receive a supercute Red Cross x Hello Kitty collectible item while supplies last. It is a small token of thanks for a gift that means so much to the people who receive it.
Why Your Donation Matters
Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. A single donation can help save the lives of multiple patients, from accident victims and surgery patients to families facing serious illness. Blood cannot be manufactured, which means the supply depends entirely on the generosity of volunteers like you. When you give blood close to home, you are helping hospitals and patients right here in our region and beyond.
How to Prepare
Getting ready to donate is simple. In the day leading up to your appointment, eat a healthy meal and drink an extra 16 ounces of water and fluids to help you feel your best. When you arrive, please bring a photo ID, your blood donor card, or two other forms of identification.
How to Schedule Your Donation
Appointments help the day run smoothly, and every donor who joins us is truly appreciated. To reserve your spot, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org. You can also save up to 15 minutes on donation day by completing RapidPass ahead of time at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass. Prefer to plan on the go? Download the Blood Donor App to schedule and track your donations.
We hope you will join us on September 15 and be part of something kind. Together, our Lake Bluff community can make a real difference, one donation at a time. We look forward to seeing you at Kunes Lakes Chevrolet.
